Herbal Garden inauguration at Morarji Desai Residential School, Machina on 27 July 2023

A Medical Camp was organized on the occasion of the inauguration of the Herbal Garden Developmental Project, Department of Dravyaguna Vignana, YAMCH at Morarji Desai Residential School, Machina on 27 July 2023 (Thursday) from 10.30 AM to 2.30 PM. The camp was inaugurated by Mr. Chandrakanth Niddaje, President, Machina Grama Panchayath, and presided by Mr. Khalid B, Assistant Teacher, Morarji Desai Residential School, Machina. Dr. K Lakshmeesha Upadhya, Medical Superintendent of Yenepoya Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Dr. Asha Maradka, Professor and HOD, Dravyaguna and Mr. Yogish Nayak B, Assistant Teacher, Government. High school, Guruvayanakere were on the dais. The project was implemented by Karnataka State Medicinal Plant Authority, and sponsored by National Medicinal Plants Board. The plants were distributed and planted on the school premises. A total of 107 students registered for the Ayurveda treatment and were examined by Dr. K Lakshmeesha Upadhya, Dr. Zenica D’Souza, Dr.Shubhada VI, Dr. Kavya SR. The students were also given free medicine. The Internees and the Para Medical staff members co-operated in the smooth conduction of the camp. Mr. Abdul Razak and Mr. Nithya Prakash coordinated the whole camp.
